The Bee's Knees Is A Taste Of Honey With A Kick

Everything You Need to Know About the Bee's Knees

Though it sounds like something your grandpa might say and was created during Prohibition, there's nothing outdated about the Bee's Knees. Using honey syrup and fresh squeezed lemon juice to soften the kick of gin, it's similar to such whiskey cocktails as the Gold Rush and Honey Bey. Crisp and refreshing, with tart and sweet elements, it's perfect for brunch menus or served with appetizers at a dinner party.

Experiment with different types of honey for nuanced flavors. Some enjoy adding a dash of orange bitters or a sprig of lavender or thyme during shaking for an herbal variation.
