The Arthur Wheeler Spirits Company is a Maryland-based distillery that produces an award-winning portfolio of whiskeys, rum, and agave spirits. Their Maryland-style rye was distilled and moved into a charred oak barrel in the fall of 2016. Three years later, 2 barrels were selected from 2 specific areas in the rickhouse with high potential for greatness, where they were aged for another three and a half years. According to the brand, it carries citrus, spice, and complex sweet aromas on the nose, rich spice notes on the palate, and a finish "reminiscent of that creamed-filled orange popsicle we used to love from the ice cream truck." This whiskey can be sipped neat or on the rocks and is ideal for cocktails.
