Basil Hayden's Toast was created using a brown rice mash bill. At the end of maturation, Jim Beam finishes the Basil Hayden bourbon in toasted barrels. The result is a whiskey with less spice, a bright, light mouthfeel, and deepened notes of sweet caramel.
