This expression rested entirely in Warehouse R, one of the James B. Beam Distilling Co.'s rare single-floor warehouses, which is known for its cool and damp climate. This distinct, lower-temperature aging process fosters a mellow, rounded character with an unexpected depth, setting it apart from bourbons aged in traditional multi-story rickhouses.
