Laphroaig is synonymous with Islay single malt Scotch. This is the first chapter in a new series of Laphroaig whiskies. This release is dedicated to Donald Johnston, co-founder of the Laphroaig distillery in 1815. The packaging and accompanying booklet feature illustrations by artist Bill Bragg. This 33-year-old whisky was matured in a selection of American oak ex-bourbon casks and European oak sherry-seasoned hogsheads. It is bottled at 87.6 proof / 43.8% ABV.
