Founded in 2008, Middle West Spirits has quietly become Ohio's top whiskey distillery. Their straight wheat whiskey is crafted in small batches using locally sourced  wheat and aged a minimum of four years in new toasted and charred American white oak barrels. According to the Middle West Spirits, expect "aromas of pastry dough, nougat, and buttercream. A dry-yet-fruity medium body. A finish of spiced nuts, dried cherry, wheat bread, and baking spices."
