Middle West Spirits Double Cask Collection Oloroso Wheat Whiskey

Founded in 2008, Middle West Spirits has quietly become Ohio's top whiskey distillery. Part of their premium Double Cask Collection, this release takes their signature wheat whiskey—crafted from locally grown Ohio soft red winter wheat—and ages it for several years in lightly toasted American white oak barrels before transferring it to sun-drenched Oloroso Sherry casks. According to Middle West Spirits, expect "hints of vanilla, nutmeg, and cinnamon," accompanied by "rich, nutty notes of black cherry, dark chocolate, and raisins."
