Stave & Bean is a Kentucky company that ages coffee beans roasted by Quills Coffee in barrels that previously contained bourbon, rum, and other spirits.
John Wadell, Single Barrel Curator at Kentucky Peerless Distilling, is one of the masterminds behind the brand. The guy knows barrels. He also hand-selects the coffee beans and, based on taste, matches them with barrels that accentuate their natural flavor profile.
For those in the know, it's whiskey for dinner and Stave & Bean coffee for dessert. Each bag contains 12 ounces of whole bean coffee.
