This single-barrel rye whiskey is the twelfth installment in the experimental, limited-edition Boss Hog series from WhistlePig. Named 'Feather & Flame,' the release is characterized by a distinctive and innovative cask finishing process inspired by ancient Mesoamerican traditions. The rye is finished in Pulque Curado de Cacao barrels, which are barrels seasoned with agave-fermented pulque and cured with cacao nibs and Mexican chili peppers, resulting in a unique combination of rich dark chocolate, earthy complexity, and bold rye spice.
