Remus Lou Gehrig Reserve Straight Bourbon Whiskey is a limited-edition commemorative release honoring the legendary baseball icon. Master Distiller Ian Stirsman blended four distinct bourbon mash bills aged between 2016 and 2019 (a nod to Gehrig's No. 4 jersey) and bottled the spirit at a robust 109 proof to mark the 100th anniversary of Gehrig’s historic 109 RBI season. Exactly 9,665 bottles were produced, with each bottle representing one of Gehrig's career plate appearances. Expect rich aromas of dark caramel, vanilla bean, and toasted oak, followed by a full-bodied palate of ripe golden apples, honey, butterscotch, and warm rye spice, ending in a long, drying finish of dark chocolate and leather.
