OId Hillside Harlem Hellfighters Whiskey - James Reese Europe Commemorative Bottle
詳細
This limited-edition release from Old Hillside honors the 369th Infantry Regiment, famously known as the "Harlem Hellfighters," an African American Army unit active in World War I. Despite facing racial segregation and discrimination, they served with distinction on the front lines for 191 days—longer than any other American regiment in World War 1 history. Renowned for their bravery and fierce combat skills, they earned respect from French allies and received numerous honors. Their service shattered racial stereotypes and paved the way for future integration of the U.S. military.
This blend of straight Kentucky bourbon and Indiana rye was aged for a total of 191 days in French Pinot Noir oak wine barrels, marking the exact number of days the regiment spent on the front lines in France. The barrels themselves originate from the same region where the Hellfighters fought, creating a rare, symbolic connection between place, history, and spirit.
