A friend sent this bottle as an Xmas gift. Even though the rye spice is there, it drinks soft. It doesn't taste like a Japanese whisky but has that same delicate character. I had no idea Jack Daniel's made such sophisticated whiskey. 100% will buy another for myself when I finish this one.

Honestly, I wasn't sure to expect from a Jack Daniel's barrel pick but this is a more-than pleasant surprise. Delivers all the spice you want from a rye with a sweet top-end and makes an unbelievable Manhattan.

Love the regular issue but this single barrel rye lives up to its name.
