The red wine finish brings in some fruity notes and it complements your food rather than overpowering it. Even if you're a proof snob, give this one a chance. It's way better than regular Basil Hayden.

I've been hunting for good lower proof bourbons for when I have company over as my usual thirst for cask strength releases has left many a guest catatonic. This is a really full sipper for a low proof Beam bourbon, which sometimes can leave you thinking you're drinking a flat whiskey spritzer. It was definitely a crowd pleasure.
