As a native New Yorker, I've been waiting for the "Bourbon boom" to result in quality distilleries in the Empire State. For me money, Taconic are the best in the region. I bought this at their gift shop during a trek upstate and was glad to see it for sale here. I like the 115 proof and the maple finish gives it complex sweetness that's never overpowering.
