The Last Drop Distillers of London is an independent curator of ultra-rare spirits, founded in 2008 by industry icons Tom Jago and James Espey to unearth forgotten, world-class casks from the back of the world’s most storied warehouses. Release No. 37 is and exceptionally aged Kentucky straight bourbon whiskey crafter in partnership with Buffalo Trace Distillery. Created from the marriage of three carefully selected barrels, this release represents time-honored craftsmanship at its best. Master Blender Drew Mayville and Master Distiller Harlen Wheatley selected and married together three of the oldest barrels lying at Buffalo Trace Distillery—distilled in 1995, 1996, and 1997—to yield a whiskey that retains a delightful vibrancy while showcasing the depth and character that come from decades of careful aging. Layers of complexity reveal themselves in the glass, with notes of vanilla, oak tannins, rich caramel, and leather all harmoniously interwoven in a spirit that pushes the boundaries of bourbon beyond all expectations.
