The Last Drop Distillers is an independent curator of ultra-rare spirits, founded in 2008 by industry icons Tom Jago and James Espey to unearth forgotten, world-class casks from the back of the world’s most storied warehouses. Release No. 42 is an extraordinarily old single grain Scotch from Carsebridge Distillery, distilled in November 1965, nearly two decades before the historic Lowland producer closed permanently in 1983. The whisky spent six decades maturing in a single ex-bourbon cask, No. 160237, making it a rare surviving example from one of Scotland's long-silent grain whisky producers.
