The Last Drop Tomintoul 55 Year Old Single Malt Scotch Whisky
詳細
The Last Drop Distillers of London is an independent curator of ultra-rare spirits, founded in 2008 by industry icons Tom Jago and James Espey to unearth forgotten, world-class casks from the back of the world’s most storied warehouses. Release No. 36 is a monumental 55-year-old Speyside malt sourced from the Tomintoul Distillery. Distilled in 1968, the whisky spent over five decades in six oak casks before a final 20-month finish in a single Amoroso Sherry butt. This secondary maturation adds layers of fruitcake and dried plum to Tomintoul’s elegant, floral character. At 83.4 proof (41.7% ABV), the whisky maintains a surprising acidity and vibrancy despite its great age. This prestigious release consists of only 582 bottles, making it one of the rarest and oldest expressions ever to leave the distillery’s warehouses, offering a silken texture and historic depth.
