The Last Drop Distillers of London is an independent curator of ultra-rare spirits, founded in 2008 by industry icons Tom Jago and James Espey to unearth forgotten, world-class casks from the back of the world’s most storied warehouses. Known as No. 10, this 1971 vintage is a "triple matured" blend that began as a premium 12-year-old Scotch before being redirected into ex-Oloroso Sherry butts and, eventually, ex-American oak barrels. This 45-year journey has resulted in an incomparable integration of honeyed smoke, old leather, and citrus peel. The extensive secondary maturation creates a vanishing style of blended Scotch, where high malt content meets decades of wood influence. Bottled at 93.4 proof (46.7% ABV), this expression represents a masterpiece of patience and blending.
